Ylang ylang is a very rich, thick and nourishing oil that is useful for all skin types because it has a balancing action on the production and secretion of sebum. For those with oily skin who produce too much sebum, ylang ylang will help to reduce the production and therefore reduce the oily feeling on the skin.  For those with dry skin, ylang ylang will do the opposite; it will stimulate the secretion of sebum helping to return the skin to being hydrated, silky, soft and smooth. Ylang ylang oil is antiseptic and anti-infectious and helps to fight infectious microbes on the skin as well as to cleanse and clean the skin. It is extremely sensual and uplifting yet also a strong sedative that cools emotions, calms the nerves and improves the mood; thereby combating stress and tension, sadness and grief. Ylang ylang is widely used in luxurious hair and skin products for its scent and nourishing and protective properties.

    Usage & Precaution

    How to use:

    Put a few drops in Epsom salt bath for relaxation

    Add a few drops to coconut oil for deep hair conditioning

    Put a few drops on your wrist for a sweet, floral perfume

    Refresh your skin with an aromatherapy steam facial by adding a few drops in the water

    Use as a massage oil to soothe your nerves, remove stress or anxiety and recharge your body

    Add a few drops to a moisturiser to treat eczema, reduce redness and irritation

    Massage regularly to relieve muscle spasms

    Caution:

     Possible skin sensitivity; always do a patch test. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Always dilute the essential oil with any carrier oil (coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, etc) to avoid skin sensitivity.

    What is the shelf life of my product?

    All beauty products need to be used by a certain period. This is known as the 'period after opening' and can be easily identified by the PAO symbol. The symbol can be recognised as the shape of an opened jar, and will have a number inside; 9M will indicate 9 months, 12M is 12 months, and 36M is 36 months. Once opened the product should be used in this period, as after this time the quality of the product will deteriorate.
